The image on the home page was taken somewhere in North West Spain in 2016. It was the second trip to Europe on the motorbike for me and followed an organised trip to the Alps and Dolomites the year before.
The trip to North West Spain (Picos and across to the Galacia coast) was the first one I organised, there were three of us on the trip and it went fairly smoothly.
I did not travel to Europe during 2017, but did manage a long weekend to South West Ireland, though it did not really scratch the itch, so plans for a trip to the Pyrenees started before the end of the year.
The original plan was for four of us to head over late June 2018, but circumstances conspired against us and we all had to postpone for various reasons.
I decided that rather than wait until 2019 I would re-schedule for late August 2018 and go on my own, I organised the last trip what can possibly go wrong?
So here we are it is nearly the weekend and nearly time to set off…I should really be prepping not writing my first blog!
The plan is to stop and take photos whenever I see something interesting and then upload them each evening, the intent sounds good, but who knows what will happen when I actually get there.
